Skipping ahead a bit, I couldn’t wait to share more from Liz & Colin’s summer Revel Center wedding from August! After their engagement session, I knew they were going to be one of my favorite couples. Colin comes equipped with his own dad jokes, and Liz laughs and groans with him. They can’t stop making each other smile! Not only do they love each other, they have FUN together!! It was during the hottest weekend of the year, with full sun beating down all day, but you couldn’t tell it by looking at them! The smiles did not leave their faces. Luckily, everything was taking place inside the cool air-conditioning of the Revel Center! We were all very grateful for that!
I had never been to the Revel Center so I was excited to photograph a wedding here! There are separate rooms for each side to get ready in, with one having a row of salon mirrors, and the other with arcade games! The space is perfectly divided into an upstairs hang-out/cocktail area, with the downstairs for the ceremony and reception.
So I’m going to be honest. I know a lot of photographers or wedding vendors love to post about their “lay-flat” images. A lay-flat is where all the details and invitations are laid out in a perfectly composed manner. I am TERRIBLE at lay-flats. But the more I look at this one the more I love it?!
Also these RINGS!! This is seriously one of the more gorgeous sets I’ve ever seen!
Due to Covid reschedules, Liz wasn’t expecting the sleeves on her dress to keep her warm on a 90° day. Nevertheless, she looked stunning in it!
One of my favorite parts of getting ready is when it really makes the bride feel like a princess! All her bridesmaids gathered around, just tending to her!
While the girls were doing all the hard work, the guys relaxed for a big with some arcade games! They have it so easy, don’t they?!
Liz and her dad shared a first look. Want to see what left him in tears?
She had a tie screen-printed with this photo of them from when she was a baby ????
Um…coolest father-daughter duo ever? They have matching Avenged Sevenfold tattoos!
Then it was time to brave the heat for Liz & Colin’s first look!
Colin had custom bride & groom socks made with their faces on it…except he put him as the bride and Liz and the groom!
They then wanted to privately read their vows to one another, and it was just about the sweetest thing ever.
I love their excitement here!
Finally, it was time to get these two hitched!
For their sand ceremony, they had dirt from a handful of different locations, each one a special place to them.
There is nothing like that “we did it!” feeling!!
The wedding party all headed out to Riverside Park for some more portraits!
We made a super quick stop at the Calder Plaza – but we didn’t realize it was the Polish Festival! As fate would have it, the Polish Festival is where Liz & Colin had one of their first dates, so it was meant to be ????
Party time!!
During Liz’s first dance with her dad, her mom came out and joined them! It was so sweet!
These two are the reason Liz found me. I was actually the second shooter at Alexis & Jacob’s wedding, which Liz was a bridesmaid in!
Evermore Entertainment kept the dance floor filled!
I hope you enjoyed Liz & Colin’s summer Revel Center wedding! Check back next week for some bridesmaid inspiration. Make sure you follow Jessie Silva on Facebook and Instagram for all the updates!
