Downtown Market Grand Rapids Winter Wedding | Nekoda & Todd

Nekoda & Todd’s Downtown Market Grand Rapids winter wedding was one that I definitely looked forward to since meeting with these two! The Downtown Market is such a gorgeous venue, so their greenhouse makes for a perfect wedding anytime of year! So, not to get all serious on you, but this is also a wedding I’ll remember for a very long time. This wedding was February 29, 2020. A leap day, and the last “normal wedding” I’ve seen. While news was starting to circulate, Covid wasn’t a real threat yet, and we were still in the “it won’t happen here” mindset of our lives. There may have even been a joke about it while a bottle of Fireball got passed around the party bus. If I had known, I might have danced a little longer that night.

A tip: Get your girls matching PJ’s or outfits to get ready in, since this makes your getting ready photos look more cohesive and polished!

Since it was February, Nekoda’s stunning dress had these delicate sleeves with perfect detailing!

Todd is definitely in the top 5 for best First Look reactions!

It’s so lush in the greenhouse, you’d never guess it was February!

I love seeing special touches at weddings, and this is a perfect example. Nekoda’s mom walked Todd down the aisle because…

…she was also the officiant!

Who says a First Look takes away the emotion of the moment?!

Their precious pups made a cameo to greet the guests as they came in!

And the dogs joined us later for some outdoor portraits as well!!

It’s a good idea to be prepared for anything when pets are involved haha!

They nailed the “pretend the building is exploding behind you” walk!

A quick stop at Founder’s for a few drinks was a must!

The dogs make another appearance by way of the couple’s bar menu!

We had to end the night with one last kiss under the lights!
