Back in November, I got a random Instagram message from a florist that I had never worked with before, asking me to take part in a styled session. At first, I was super skeptical because a) I didn’t know this florist and b) the session was like 2 days away! I finally decided to take a chance and participate in the Holiday Glam styled session with Alex Nazar Floral and Brittany from 1945 Event Co. I am SO glad I took that chance, because then Brittany asked me to take part in today’s blog post, for the Wedding Day magazine Spring/Summer 2021 cover shoot!!
Since it is for the spring/summer edition, Brittany wanted to pull inspiration from nature and Michigan’s beautiful meadows and spring time colors. This shoot is full of whimsy, especially including lots of greenery and gorgeous pastels. Once she told me the vision she had, I was so excited! And of course, we had a rock-star team of vendors! Scroll through for the full list!
Invitations By: Caitlin did an incredible job on these adorable paper goods! Just look at the detail inside the envelope, and it does NOT get any cuter than that mitten shaped RSVP!
The Harris Building is the perfect venue for any size wedding. With small rooms on one side for intimate gatherings, you can still have a gorgeous setting without feeling like there’s TOO much space.
The floral expert Alex doing her thing!
I can’t even describe how impressive this cake unlike any other by Sugar & Spice Bakeshop was. Not only was the round moss ball balanced perfectly between tiers, but Mona also painted watercolor florals!
While we were all adoring each others work, Two Birds Media put together this super fun video of the day!
Brittany and Josh were our fantastic models for the day, especially since they are a real couple!
Let’s talk about that floral arch that Alex put together!! ????
Not only was she a stunning model, she is also a talented make-up artist!
(Can you guess how freaking happy I was that a veil was included in the day’s attire?!)
Once we finished with our ceremony, we headed to the other side of the venue, perfect for large receptions!
It was definitely chilly, but we just had to stop outside for one last shot with the iconic Harris sign!
Thanks so much for viewing the Wedding Day magazine Spring/Summer 2021 cover session! Please go support all of the amazing vendors involved in this shoot by following them, and be sure to check out this issue of Wedding Day magazine for lots of great wedding inspiration!
