Modern Glam Virginia Wedding Session
I’m going to be mixing things up a little bit more on my blog. On top of recapping my recent sessions and weddings, I’ll be adding in some tips and advice, as well as throwback posts from years ago! About 3 websites ago, I lost all of my previous entries from my time in Virginia, so today I’m throwing it back to one of my favorites! This modern glam Virginia wedding styled session was a collaboration between so many amazing vendors in the Hampton Roads area!
If you’re new here, you may not know that I lived near Virginia Beach from 2011 to 2014. While my time there was short, the impact it had on me was HUGE. I met so many incredible people that I still talk to today. Sometimes as a business owner, I’ll get the question “what is the best thing you’ve ever done for your business?” My answer is always meeting Sharon. Not only is she an amazing photographer, she is an absolutely incredible and impactful mentor. With a little tough love and a lot of hugs, she kicked my butt into shape! She made me the photographer I am today! The weddings and sessions I had in Virginia are to this day some of my favorites, and it is 100% due to her!
This session was planned just before I moved away, and it really encompasses my favorite things about my time there! It’s a bright session full of bling, during one of Virginia’s beautiful spring sunsets, with a bunch of amazing vendors! We had it at one of my favorite locations there! Historic Yorktown has so much character, including an old schooner!
The entire concept, as well as hair and lighting assistance, was provided by the inimitable Cryistal Chaos!
Jordan’s beautiful make-up was provided by Amy at Mystique Salon & Day Spa!
C & J Floral designed the bright blooms for a pop of color!
