Skipping ahead a bit, I couldn’t wait to share more from Liz & Colin’s summer Revel Center wedding from August! After their engagement session, I knew they were going to be one of my favorite couples. Colin comes equipped with his own dad jokes, and Liz laughs and groans with him. They can’t stop making each other smile! Not only do they love each other, they have FUN together!! It was during the hottest weekend of the year, with full sun beating down all day, but you couldn’t tell it by looking at them! The smiles did not leave their faces. Luckily, everything was taking place inside the cool air-conditioning of the Revel Center! We were all very grateful for that!
I love looking back at all the amazing clients I’ve had throughout the years. Today’s Williamsburg National Golf Club wedding is no different! I shared previously about my time in Virginia, and how truly influential it was to my photography career. To this day, some of my very favorite images were taken in Virginia, although those blog posts were all lost between a website transfer. If you do a deep dive on my social media accounts though, you can still see some of the images.
We all know the idea that brides have of finding “the One” – no, not the fiancé, the wedding dress! Of course we have Say Yes to the Dress and so many bridal stores with hundreds of options. But no one talks about what to wear for engagement photos! So today, here are a handful of tips to help you look your best for your session before the wedding!
Today’s intimate wedding ceremony at the High Five takes us back to last July, still in the thick of the pandemic. Roz found her perfect venue downtown, but restrictions at the time only allowed 10 people indoors. So her & Jon made lemonade out of the lemons, and had a small intimate ceremony, with plans to celebrate with their friends and families this spring!
Weddings involve so much planning and so many moving parts, and the day goes by so quickly, sometimes we forget the actual reason we’re all there: the ceremony! Couples worry so much about the reception chair covers, the guest book being in the right spot, and making sure their shoes all match. But remember, your ceremony is the bread-and-butter of your day, and is the most meaningful part. It’s the part that makes you married! So for today’s post, here are 5 tips for a picture perfect ceremony!
I wanted to skip ahead on my blog posts and share more from Garret & Kallie’s Lumber Yard Event Center wedding from July! You might see a lot of familiar faces on this one since Garret is one of my many cousins getting married in the next two years! I may have teared up a little bit when he came out in his suit – they’re all growing up so fast! The groom always looks good in a suit, but I can’t forget how much Kallie absolutely GLOWED as a bride! It was a very hot and sunny day, but you couldn’t tell it by looking at her!
