Today’s throwback post features what may have been the most perfect engagement session ever! I remember I was just getting over a cold (remember when we weren’t glared at for having the sniffles?!) so my energy was probably pretty low – until I arrived at the WK Kellogg Manor House! The sun was shining just right, and the grounds to this venue was STUNNING. The Manor House sits on the highest point over looking Gull Lake, and is immaculately landscaped all the way down to the water! At the bottom is a perfect spot for wedding ceremonies! And then Jenny and Spencer showed up looking adorable and ready to go!!
It’s no secret that wedding days have a tendency to be hectic. This is why one of my main goals as your photographer is to help you reduce your stress so you can relax and enjoy the day. One of those tips is a list of details to remember on the wedding day, like today’s bridal details checklist!
Nekoda & Todd’s Downtown Market Grand Rapids winter wedding was one that I definitely looked forward to since meeting with these two! So, not to get all serious on you, but this is also a wedding I’ll remember for a very long time. Click through to read why!
Today’s throwback post was one of the most fun sessions I’ve ever done! I was the second shooter at Chelsea & Eddie’s wedding way back in 2013, and for their one year anniversary, Chelsea wanted to do something awesome! So we decided on this colorful trash the dress session! This was when I was living in Virginia, so we found a perfectly wooded trail at Deep Creek Lock Park in Chesapeake. The sun was just gorgeous that day!
If you are engaged or dreaming about your future wedding, you know how overwhelming it can be! There are endless options for literally every single aspect of your day! So how do you even know where to begin? I recently asked my couples what advice they would give to someone who is navigating the crazy world of weddings. Since rebranding to Jessie Silva, I have shifted my focus entirely to weddings in the Grand Rapids area and beyond. But every once in a while, I’ll still do extra sessions for a select few special past clients! Today’s lifestyle maternity & newborn session is one of those special clients! In October of 2019, my cousin Katie was at the perfect point in her first pregnancy for maternity photos! Her and her husband live out in the country, so their backyard was the perfect spot on this cloudy day!
