In last week’s blog post, I mentioned how since the rebrand, I’ve really honed in on my perfect ideal clients, and Katie and Ryan are definitely included in that! During their snowy Aquinas College engagement session, it was clear to see that they loved to snuggle up and be goofy with each other! Even during our consultation we talked about Mexican food and Parks and Rec…so it was an instant click for me with them haha!
Katie and Ryan have decided to still get married this year with a small celebration, while having a larger party next year! I think it’s a great way to keep the love going throughout the year 🙂 Who knows? Maybe intimate weddings will become the next big thing!
Ryan is an alumni at Aquinas, so he suggested we have their session near Holmdene Manor. I could immediately see why! This building has so much character, even when covered in snow!
I love the way the brick archways perfectly framed Katie and Ryan!
It was cold and snowy, and they willingly sat in the snow for me!!
Apparently for many events in their life together, Katie and Ryan have been cursed with bad weather. To have a session in a snowstorm was no surprise to them, but it sure does make for magical photos!!
They wanted to add some personal touches to their session, so they brought a few of Ryan’s favorite things – like PBR!
They also brought a flag because as Katie said, “he’s REALLY patriotic”.
And finally, they wanted to get a little cheesy. Literally!
It was getting colder and darker by the minute, but they hung in there for a few more photos! I loved the red berries on this tree, coupled with the snow falling. THIS is a perfect winter photo!
Another reason that I know Katie and Ryan are ideal clients for me, is that they remained entirely chill when Katie’s ring SLID OFF THE CAN and fell INTO THE SNOW. It’s a good thing it was cold out because I was sweating bullets haha!
Thanks for checking out Katie and Ryan’s snowy Aquinas College engagement session! Stay tuned over on Facebook and Instagram for a preview from their wedding this weekend!
