Tunnel Park Family Session | Barczak Family

This Tunnel Park family session is super special to me because it was a chance for me to give back. Not only did I used to cheer with the gorgeous mama pictured here, but she is also my amazing, caring, knowledgeable, sensitive, kind veterinarian. If you follow any of my personal accounts, you’ll know that I’m a crazy cat lady, and 2019 was NOT a good year for my two fat fur-babies. Three surgeries between two cats – all at separate times – they were both on the brink of death for different reasons. Dr. Barczak, Dr, Henn, and the rest of the staff at Westwood Hills Animal Hospital were absolutely incredible. They were so patient and understanding, and really cared for my cats!

When Jen asked me to take their annual family portraits, I told her there was no charge because she had been so helpful every time I needed her. She insisted that I charge her full price. I lied and said that I did (sorry, not sorry Jen!!) ???? At any rate, I met up with her adorable family last year at Tunnel Park in Holland!

The youngest wasn’t too keen on the whole “picture” thing at first!

Once we let him roll around in the sand a bit he was all smiles!

Let’s talk about Miss Sass for a moment ????

Sometimes with young kids, it’s best to keep expectations low and let them take the lead. If it’s between sitting still but crying, or laughing on the swings, well then I say let them swing!!

While the kids were first bribed with the less-messy suckers, we switched it up to ice cream at the end!

If this photo doesn’t scream “summer” I don’t know what would!!
