Sam and Kelsey are absolute nature lovers. In fact, apparently when they were looking for a wedding photographer, they searched for nature and adventure loving photographers! I’m not entirely sure how my name came up in that search, but I’m SO glad it did! You might remember these two from this insane aurora session last fall! We had already done their regular engagement session when I put out the model call for the aurora, so I knew when they volunteered they’d be perfect for it! Keeping in theme, when discussing locations for their session, they wanted something very nature oriented. We decided a Townsend Park and Pickerel Lake engagement session was the perfect fit for them!
You know when they start off wanting to get in the water, it’s going to be a good one!
I apparently stepped in some stinging nettle and my ankle itched for the next three days, but it was 100% worth it!
The sunlight was perfect for my favorite kiss pose 😻
Townsend park had so many cute areas to use! The river, stone bridges, and even a small field!
They changed outfits and we headed to Pickerel Lake for the sunset!
The water was so still and calm, it made for a beautiful reflection!
These two both have big golden retriever energy – in love with life and each other, and absolutely up for anything! They’re so adorable together!
We started in the river and ended by laying down in the parking lot! I love a couple who is up for anything!
Thanks for checking out Sam and Kelsey’s Townsend Park and Pickerel Lake engagement session! I can’t wait to celebrate with them this weekend at their wedding! Make sure you’re following Jessie Silva on Facebook and Instagram to catch their sneak peek!
Have fun!
