Lake Michigan Frozen Love Session | Theresa & Corry

As winter sets in, I’m looking back to last February! Another local photographer had inspired me to take a couple out for a Lake Michigan frozen love session, so that’s exactly what I did!

I had posted on my Facebook page looking for a couple to come freeze it out with me. I had a bunch of amazing people reply, so it was SUCH a hard decision! Ultimately, I chose Theresa & Corry, since they are family friends, and have supported me from the beginning! I first captured their family and four gorgeous daughters waaaay back in 2009, when I was still just a little baby business owner! Fast forward to 2015 for the wedding of their youngest, Adrienne. Then, earlier this year I did a lifestyle family session for another of their daughters! So when I really thought about it, it made perfect sense to offer this session to Theresa & Corry! Plus, they are one of those #marriagegoals kind of couples, so I knew they’d snuggle up for me!

We headed out to Holland State Park so we could walk out onto the frozen waves a bit! Things were a bit slushy but they didn’t complain! We found some sturdier areas next to the pier that worked out perfectly!

They were prepared to snuggle and even brought their own blanket to curl up in!

While I made sure they were set on a solid surface, I think I fell on my butt while trying to get to this slushy alcove ????
