Summer Garden View Barn Wedding | Kayla & Will

Throughout these past couple of years, I’ve been fairly lucky. Sure there was cancellations and reschedules, but I always made it work. I was careful, wore masks, got vaccinated. I don’t even drink the night before a wedding! But in August, I caught Covid for the second time, 5 days before Kayla & Will’s summer Garden View Barn wedding. I immediately called them and broke the news. We were all crushed. Luckily, they were so understanding. What else could we do? So I was able to find some associate photographers to help capture their dream day! I was sad to miss one heck of a party, but the bride & groom were full of smiles all day long – and that’s what matters most!!

It was a super hot day, but it didn’t seem to bother Will as he got ready with his guys!

Kayla did a first look with her two nieces – it was so adorable!

And then had a special moment with her dad as well 💜

When I was culling through the images, this one took my breath away. Just as the vision of his bride took Will’s away! You can feel it just looking at this!

I love these faces of pure joy!

I saw this one, and was very glad my associate loved playing with veils too 😻

Is it even a good speech if you don’t make the bride tear up?

Once the sun started to set, people gathered outside to cool off finally! It looked like a perfect evening.

After some sunset portraits, it looks like that’s when the party really took off!

I wish I was able to talk more about what happened throughout the day. But all that matters is that they were thrilled with the images! I’m still so sad I couldn’t be there for them on their day, but I’m grateful they were such a laid-back and understanding couple!
