Today’s wedding post is a rare one! In the past years, I have made the decision to no longer photograph at barn venues. However, if you’ve been following me on social media, you’ll see me mention that I will make concessions for a select few special people who I love the most! You’ll remember from their engagement session that today’s groom was basically my little brother growing up. So of course I couldn’t say no! Scroll through to see more of Sarah & Nate’s rainy country wedding day!
Sarah’s bridesmaids helped her get ready while her daughter looked on!
They chose to do a first look, and it was so adorable! Sarah is the sweetest person, and Nate was so excited to see her!
The clouds threatened us all morning, but rain stayed away for some portraits!
You know I love a good veil shot…isn’t she gorgeous?!
And Nate was so handsome it brought a little tear to my eye!
As guests started to show up, it was touch and go on whether the rain would stay away for their garden ceremony.
We decided to go for it, and the ceremony got underway!
Sarah’s children joined them for the unity ceremony!
We made it through the ceremony without a single drop!
The venue had a perfect spot for the cocktail hour, right off a center lawn. This was the definition of a weekend party in the country! It was packed with people there to celebrate <3
…and then the skies opened!
We then moved upstairs into the main space for dinner and speeches!
Nate’s niece was playing peek-a-boo during the speeches!
Once the cake was cut, we moved back down to another barn area for the dancing!
Nate & Sarah included the children in the first dances as well for a super sweet moment!
The rain finally stopped and gave us a spectacular sunset!
The groom’s mom, and my second mother <3
I made them kiss for one last night shot, and then Nate told me to get the heck out of there 😹
Did I stay way too long? Yes. Was it worth it to see these two finally get their well-deserved happily ever after? Without a doubt! Thanks for checking out Sarah & Nate’s rainy country wedding! Make sure to follow Jessie Silva on Facebook and Instagram!
Have fun!
