Downtown Grand Rapids Engagement | Matt and Cate

Matt and Cate are one of those couples that as soon as I heard they were engaged, I HAD to shoot their wedding.  Matt and I were good friends in high school, so when I messaged him and Cate, they immediately said there wasn’t anyone else they’d want 🙂  We planned for a downtown Grand Rapids engagement session since there is so much it offers in a short walk!  Although we were nervous we’d have to dodge some raindrops, the clouds gave us quite a treat at the end!!

Of course we had to start at the iconic Blue Bridge!

Cate is pretty much freaking gorgeous.

And Matt’s a big goofball, so they make the perfect couple for me!!

I’ve never had a rainbow show up during a session before so I was thrilled!!  The sunset with the dramatic skies really made everything pop!

Even towards the end of the session the rainbow was still super bright!  The parking garage gave us a perfect vantage point to see it!

The rainbow stuck around for a bit so we were able to get tons of amazing images with it!

Tomorrow is their wedding day and I can’t wait!!  Thanks for checking out Matt & Cate’s downtown Grand Rapids engagement session!  It was a blast!
