Holland Lakeside Wedding | Joel & Whitney
One year ago today, I was in Michigan for Joel and Whitney’s incredible Holland lakeside wedding. It was a gorgeous day, and the wedding was held at a friends home, overlooking a sparkling Lake Michigan. As my assistant and I drove up to the house, we were pinching ourselves at how absolutely amazing it was!
Even more amazing than just the venue, though, was the bride and groom!! I went to high school with Whitney, and she has always been a very sweet, beautiful woman, so I was SO excited to see her as a bride!! Check out the pictures from their stunning day!

One of my favorite parts of the day – Joel and Whitney did not want to see each other before the wedding, but they did want to pray together. So many beautiful tears at this point!

Instead of a sand ceremony or candle lighting, Joel and Whitney did more of a dirt ceremony, with this tiny tree, and then the wedding party all prayed around them!
The sun was shining just perfectly the entire day!
We can’t be in Holland without a quick stop at the beach!
The bride’s brother-in-law broke this super cute tree swing, so someone joked he should be the swing – don’t joke around me when it comes to photos 😉

The newlyweds cut this little cake, but the guests got assorted pie!
Lawn games entertained the guests throughout the night!
Joel and Whitney – this wedding is one of my favorite memories of 2015, and I hope your first year of marriage has been as amazing as you two!!
