I’m a BIG advocate of out-sourcing tasks for your wedding day. Unless you’re an event professional, figuring out how to create your dream day is not something that comes natural to a lot of my couples! Because of this, it can be stressful if you’re unsure of what to do. So the next installment of my vendor interview series is an interview with a wedding planner!
Brittany with 1945 Event Co. is absolutely amazing at what she does, and has the passion for it! Whether you need a little help the day-of, or you need full scale planning from beginning to end, 1945 Event Co. has the team to do it!
Tell me a little bit about your business, your team, and how you work!
We are a full service event planning Company, and service all of Michigan and beyond. We are a team of wedding and event professionals who seek to provide couples with an amazing detailed wedding experience.
How long have you been in business, and how many weddings have you done?
I started wedding planning in 2014 and officially started my business as a side job in 2018. February 2019 is when we officially became 1945 Event Co. Since then we have worked with over 175 couples and completed over 200 weddings and events and counting.
Do you have a specialty or favorite style you like to work in/with?
I love taking all styles and coming up with new ideas. I love a good theme and thinking of ways to bring that theme to life when planning an event. Also I really love vintage pieces, decor that is timeless, elegant, fun, and eclectic is how I would describe my design style.
Describe a wedding you’ve done that was your favorite or that stands out in your mind.
Each wedding that I do for a couple is special and unique because it is tailored to them and their style. I really love style shoots because I can take the lead and truly create something from my heart and soul.
What kind of couples do you like to work with?
I love to work with all types of couples. Couples that are excited for the wedding journey and planning process and are easy and go with the flow are always the best to work with and really take the stress out of things.
What is on your designer bucket list?
This is a good question. I have been able to do so many fun ideas this year and last year with a number of style shoots that we hosted. One thing that is on my bucket list is to plan an elopement wedding for a couple!
Where can couples find you on socials?
@1945eventco on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and TikTok. 1945eventco.com is our website.
What’s one last thing or tip you want couples to know?
Truly make the day about the two of you and your love for each other. Don’t sweat the small stuff and take time the day of the wedding to stop and slow down and truly enjoy it all.
