As I’m working through trying to get my blog nice and full again, I realized this fall wedding at Waterford Crossing, Goshen IN was never blogged!
My husband became friends with Amber while he was at Coast Guard A-school in California. When she got engaged, he made sure she knew I’d love to be there to photograph her day! It was a very chilly November day, so the ceremony got moved indoors at the retirement community where Amber’s mom works. Everyone was such troopers to head outside for portraits! The sun was shining perfectly, and the willow tree by the lake made such a perfect backdrop for Amber and David’s wedding!
One reason my husband got along with Amber is their love for comics – that “POW!” ring is Amber’s ring that David proposed with!!
I was definitely a fan of her lace-up boots!
Amber’s dad had to goof around while she was pinning him 🙂
Amber and David’s mothers were so cute and excited!
They pulled a little prank on Amber and, when the doors opened for her to walk down the aisle, the Imperial March started to play!
This is probably one of the sweetest moments I’ve captured at a wedding. David’s mom admiring her new daughter-in-laws ring, and Amber’s mom hugging David!
I have quite a few images like this with David cracking up 🙂
Their portraits are some of my favorite – that lighting is to die for!
The mother-son dance was incredibly sweet, and there was not a dry eye in the room – including my own!
They had a friend DJ the evening, and she had some fun games and challenges for the newlyweds…
…including having Amber do a cartwheel!
There was an open field nearby, and I was able to take Amber and David out during sunset for some more incredible photos!
