If you missed the previous blog post, take a minute to check out Kaitlin and Travis’ engagement session at Saugatuck Sand Dunes! I was so excited to get their inquiry for their rustic Bissell Tree House wedding with a Catholic ceremony at Holy Spirit in Grand Rapids. I had heard great things about the Tree House at John Ball Zoo, and this girl loves a good Catholic wedding! But when I met up with them, I was even more excited to work with them! I could tell right off the bat they were going to have such a classic wedding, and I was not wrong!! It was definitely a great way to start off 2018!
As I mentioned in their engagement session post, Kaitlin and Travis love being active and spending their time outdoors, in all of Michigan’s weather. They chose a winter theme in late January in the hopes of having some snow. With the crazy out-of-season weather we’d been having lately, I suppose we should’ve seen a bit of foreshadowing. Their wedding day was beautiful and sunny – no snow in sight! It was very cold out, but everyone in their wedding party were SUCH troopers, and it was absolutely worth it!! Be sure to scroll through and see their gorgeous portraits at Provin Trails Park!
Kaitlin’s gorgeous lace dress fit her like a glove!
Gotta love the genuine reaction of kids at a Catholics Mass ????
Nothing like that “Mr. & Mrs.” feeling!!
While the guys were popping beers, the girls were re-energizing with snacks!
Kaitlin & Travis wanted that outdoorsy nature feel, so Provin Trails made the perfect backdrop!
Basically everything about this day was perfect!!
Having never shot at Bissell Tree House before, I had no clue about the trolley…kinda fun, kinda scary!
Of course we had to take advantage of the awesome view of our city!!
One of my (many) favorite things about weddings is how YOU you can make everything. Instead of a traditional guest book, Kaitlin & Travis has guests sign a pair of skis!
I hope you loved looking through Kaitlin and Travis’ rustic Bissell Tree House Wedding! Next up, an engagement session for next week’s bride and groom!
