WeddingDay Magazine Spring/Summer 2024 Cover at Venue Bella Giornata
It’s always a good day when I get to shoot for WeddingDay magazine!! The owner Kaitlyn and I had been trying to get a shoot on the schedule for a few months, when she gave me some options – either wait until the fall or use a more rustic venue. Since I no longer do barns or rustic venues (unless you’re super super special and close to me), I had an alternate suggestion. Venue Bella Giornata is a gorgeous, one stop shop for your wedding day, and I was SO excited they agreed to be a part of it!
While the incredible vendor team was setting up the tables, I started off with the invitations! The Printed Event expertly incorporated the soft blues of the day’s garden theme. Dirty secret, I am not good at layflats…so when I saw the venue’s beautiful bar, I grabbed some putty and turned this “layflat” into an “upright!”
Gardenground Floral really went to town, making one of the most lush tablescapes I’ve ever seen!
Gigi and LeClede, Special Occasions, and the team at K+R Coordination all combined their talents to really nail the vision! And I am obsessed with these bow napkins!

Keeping with the theme, Cami’s Creations GR made this sweet and simple cake, kept classy with a matching blue ribbon.
Meanwhile, our bride for the day Melissa was getting glammed up by BUK Weddings.
One feature of this venue is one that I think won’t really go appreciated until you use it. They have a separate cocktail room, with a double sided bar! This means people don’t have to leave your reception to get a drink!
Plus it just looks so cute on either side!
Melissa modeled two gorgeous dresses from Becker’s Bridal. I LOVED the neckline on this one!
Kaleb played the perfect groom, dressed to the nines by Dunhill Tuxedos!
Another awesome thing about this venue is there are SO many great portraits spots all around the building!
In front of their Cottage Suite is the most adorable porch swing!
