Clinch Park Traverse City Engagement | Matt and Samantha

I absolutely love traveling for weddings, so I was extra excited for Samantha and Matt’s Clinch Park Traverse City engagement session! As a Michigander, Traverse City is the PERFECT little weekend getaway destination. With adorable shops, great food, and TONS of wineries, it’s the perfect tourist town to relax in! My husband and I even spent our honeymoon here! So of course sneaking up north for a session was definitely a welcome suggestion! Matt and Samantha live up there and wanted to capture some of their favorite spots! It was a cloudy day in February, but Samantha and Matt lit up together!

We started out by wandering all around the boardwalk above the calm bay waters.

The snow on the boardwalk made things a little slippery, but that’s just a great excuse to hold on to each other tighter 😉

Samantha’s outfit choice perfectly complimented her gorgeous red hair!

This little alcove had a perfectly smooth section of water! They looked so good, even the sun wanted to join us!

Did I make them dance under these theater lights? Yes. Did a showing finish just as we got there so I made them dance while people kept coming out? Also yes.

The tunnel that went under Front Street to get over to the park had these incredible colorful murals the whole way through!

They wanted some photos downtown Traverse City as well and I swear I did not intentionally place the redhead underneath the “Red Ginger” sign ???? But she does look pretty good, don’t you think?!

I have a bad habit of saying “one more!” and “last one!” a thousand times before I actually mean it. We were heading back to our cars when the sun hit them just perfectly so I had to stop them to capture this beautiful glow!
