Grand Rapids Public Museum & Planetarium Wedding | Jeannie & Isaiah

I am SO excited to share Jeannie & Isaiah‘s Grand Rapids Public Museum & Planetarium wedding today!! Actually, I’ve been excited about this couple since the moment Jeannie walked up to my booth at the bridal show and asked if I was comfortable taking on a planetarium wedding! Ever since I was a kid I have always loved the stars, planets, and night sky, so capturing a wedding underneath a giant moon was absolutely a dream for me! I knew it would be a challenge but I got to work right away researching how I could best capture the dark sky and the couple! I am just so thrilled with how the day went. Not only was the venue just amazing, but Jeannie & Isaiah had so many unique and personal touches throughout the day! Because of that, it always makes the day extra special!

Jeannie & Isaiah are big Doctor Who fans, so there were tiny references throughout the day, like Jeannie’s incredible custom painted shoes!

I love the moments before the ceremony when the couple’s most important people pray over them. Such touching moments!

Another personal touch, Jeannie also crafted these adorable hoops for her and her Matron of Honor!

Since I had to do a lot of research and prep work to make this happen, I was with Jeannie & Isaiah when they were “designing” their sky. And all Jeannie could say was “BIG moon! BIGGER. HUGE!” I’d say they nailed it!!

Jeannie & Isaiah were blending their families, so they had a gumball machine, and each family member had a different colored gumball to mix in!

Another personal touch, Jeannie had a necklace made with all of her children and step-children’s names!

Jeannie & Isaiah wanted to have a fun-filled day, right down to the Funfetti cake!

You can’t have your wedding at the museum and NOT take photos with the carousel!

I don’t remember who said it first, but we all noticed how cool the bridge looked all lit up. So I was beyond thrilled when they were down for a few nighttime photos!
