Saugatuck Sand Dunes Nature Engagement Session | Kaitlin and Travis

Alright…I know I’ve said this before, but I’m going to reeealllly start trying to blog again…and there’s no better session that to start with than this Saugatuck Sand Dunes nature engagement session!  I’ve been back in Michigan for a full year now, and every couple and family I’ve worked with so far have just been amazing! I can’t NOT share how beautiful my first year back was!  My heart is so full and I can’t imagine being anywhere else <3

My most recent wedding with Kaitlin and Travis in January was just incredible. After their adorable, nature-filled engagement session, I had now doubt it would be! Kaitlin and Travis are total outdoorsy people; they’re always hiking one trail or another, enjoying every season Michigan has to offer – so of course having their session on a trail was perfect for them!  The weather was perfect and the trees made for some gorgeous lighting!  Even though I a) am horribly out of shape and b) was getting over a cold, they didn’t mind me huffing and puffing behind them 🙂  Trekking up and down the enormous hills, we got some incredible images!  It was definitely worth the hike!

Some couples are natural pros at the dip – and Kaitlin and Travis were no exception!

This spot definitely took my breath away – the tall trees stretched so high all around us, it felt like we were in a different world!

About halfway through the session we FINALLY broke through the trees to the beach!

They brought along this super cute blanket, so I got this as one of the last shots of the session!  It’s definitely a new favorite!
