Samantha and James are getting married this weekend! I’m hoping maybe we’ll get to see some of that typically gorgeous June weather Michigan usually has!
In the meantime, get prepared by checking out their Downtown Grand Rapids and Vault of Midnight engagement session!
One of my very favorite things about weddings is how unique each one is to the couple. Engagement sessions are no different! It can sometimes be a challenge to settle on a location that “fits” the couple, especially if they want to do something different. So when Samantha and James mentioned going to the comic store Vault of Midnight at the end of their downtown Grand Rapids session, I happily agreed! Another personal touch was that the session was exactly one year to their wedding date! It was the perfect way to celebrate the countdown milestone! We had a great time wandering around and got some pretty sweet photos out of it too!
Of course we had to start at the Blue Bridge!
This sculpture was pretty new, so we had to check it out! How perfect is this for engagements?!
The ivy-covered brick on the east end of the bridge makes for a gorgeous backdrop!
The weather was perfect for June, and Samantha’s dress and gorgeous hair really popped among all the greenery!
Then we headed to the other side of Monroe for more fun at the comic store!
Samantha also brought this gorgeous floral crown for a few shots!
Honestly, aren’t they too cute?!
What was your favorite image from James and Samantha’s downtown Grand Rapids and Vault of Midnight engagement session?? As usual, don’t forget to follow along on Facebook and Instagram for the most up to date sneaks and posts! Their wedding venue, the Cheney Place, always makes the perfect place for photos!
